For the last 21 months, I have blissfully enjoyed life as a new father. I have not spent much time sharing updates on social media to focus on the things that matter most, my family and my business. This has undoubtedly been the most challenging, interesting and joyous period of my life. I have of course followed politics and world affairs as closely as ever without getting emotionally consumed by it. My family and I did make sure to march in California for women’s rights, gun control, and Dreamers. At this critical juncture with the midterms approaching and so much on the line, I feel like it is my responsibility to speak out. To me, this election is not about the so-called caravan or Kavanaugh. This election is about gun control, the rise of hate crimes, cruel and unusual policy decisions, climate change, and Jamal Khashoggi. These are some of the things that will be on my mind when I go to the polls on Tuesday.
